Last week

Well I was determined to get a lot of rest over this last week. I had worked Thursday (17th), Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, and then holiday festivities began on Wednesday. How was I going to get "a lot of rest?"

Wednesday night was spent with the Matis' for fondue night, which was amazing! I had some discomfort in my back, but shook it off. By Thursday morning, I could barely move I was in such horrific pain--from my hips to my chest- front side and back side. I seriously could barely get out of bed. I feel like I have somewhat of a high pain threshold. I take Tylenol maybe 10 times a year, and I've had about 10 headaches my entire life. I don't take medicine- just vitamins. I was thinking my body was reacting to stress.

The Wednesday (16th) before my heavy work week, LJ spiked a fever of 103 something. For 2 days, nothing would keep it down. He had no other symptoms, so we just started Motrin ever 6 hours to keep him from being too uncomfortable, but still 102+. We talked to the MD, and he called in a script and suggested waking him up every 3 hours for Motrin/Tylenol. LJ has a tendency to get very sick quickly. I called my mom over around 9pm Thursday night and it looked like we needed to head to Riley Hospital. LJ was extremely lethargic, barely opening his eyes and had 102-103 fever. After cooling him down for about an hour and starting the meds, you could tell he was feeling a little better, so we stayed home knowing we'd wake him every few hours. The MD thought it may be another round of H1N1- GREAT! I had to be at work the next morning at 6:45am and all I could picture was my little boy about to code in St. Francis' ER or him laying limp on the lifeline stretcher, which is what we did last June. After many mass texts, facebook postings, and prayers with Big Joey, I felt comfort. LJ seemed to be doing okay throughout the night. My mom, who is an RN, had him the next day. I got reports from her all morning that he seemed to be more alert and more himself.

Stress. I never knew this type of stress before-- the exhaustion, the scary thoughts, the worrying, the overwhelming feelings of the holidays coming up, the thought of trying to make it to all of the holiday festivities with a one year old not doing too great, while being 7 1/2 months pregnant, and I could go on and on. So is this why my body decided to shut down and go into spasms? I don't know. So now we are back at Dec. 24 and I woke up with cramping all over. I continued to ignore it- just hoping to not let it interfere with our plans, but it just continued to get worse. I went over to my parents around 4pm. I was chatting with my dad in the kitchen while he was putting together a car station for LJ (and kindly reminding me how he thought he was done putting toys together on Christmas Eve). Then he looked at me seriously and said, "You aren't comfortable. You're not okay are you?" I asked how he knew. He said that I couldn't sit still and it was obvious I was getting worse. I knew if my dad was concerned, I needed to call the doc. Luckily my doc is Jewish and I didn't feel as bad calling him on Christmas Eve. He asked me to come in right away. AWESOME! I will be spending my Christmas Eve away from LJ in a hosptial. My hospital is about 40 minutes away... by choice. It's amazing!!!! It's worth the drive- the environment and the care given is indescribable. Finally about 11pm, we concluded I wasn't going into preterm labor, however, the baby is very very low, but my body was having some severe muscle spasms. I was sent home with some meds and to keep them updated. I was happy to be sent home- very happy. Is this God's way of making me take time for myself? Big Joey and I did get some quality time in the hospital I had been longing for.

So Christmas Eve isn't what I imagined, Christmas morning wasn't what I imagined, and feeling this awful for 3 days topped it all off. Luckily I have a pretty wonderful husband that had taken over the night shift/early morning shifts and suggested celebrating the 26th like the 25th... and LJ had a blast!! I will be posting Christmas pics shortly, but for right now, we're still enjoying each other's health... and lots and lots of toys.

The point I want to make is how important it is to pay attention to your stress level and your body. I do believe there is some connection with the amount of stress many people are going through right now and the increasing amounts disease and cancer that have been swarming many of our friends and loved ones. I firmly believe you have to be in control of your stress level and you need to do what you have to do to keeep yourself healthy for you, your family and your friends. Responsibilites are overwhelming, holidays are overwhelming, and the feeling you aren't doing enough is overwhelming. Take some time for yourself, seriously, take some time for yourself. Meanwhile, I will be doing the same (and snapping away picture after picture of my Little Man from the recliner).

Hope this blog finds you taking a breath for yourself. Happy Holidays!

He didn't like it.

LJ carries a Santa doll all over the house saying "Ho Ho", he loves playing with his new manger scene, he admires the Christmas tree for long minutes and he'll even watch his Portable North Pole personal message from Santa six times in a row, BUT he does not do Santa in person.

Maybe next year.

Fairy Toddler?

To the right there is a picture of LJ's Godmother, Tiffany, who flew all the way from LA just for a play day. LJ adapted quickly to playing balls with his new friend "Ifffeeeeey."

The second pic there is a nice pic huh?? This is my toddler attempting to ride his non-ridable tractor. He doesn't cooperate for pictures anymore, so this one will have to do.

I think it was Tuesday night last week when my son turned into a toddler overnight. The toddler fairy must have sprinkled some dust on him when he was sleeping because when he woke up, he could speak 2 word phrases, say "no" to plunger, toilet brush, Christmas tree and anything that comes out of the oven, he can tell me what he wants to eat, and even sit in his high chair for about an hour at meal time. He grew up over the night. He will now tell me when he wants to eat (even if it's goldfish at 7:45am), he is starting to sleep in till almost 8am, he knows how use the remote, pretend to wash his hair and face, say cheese, repeat what I say, and tell me when he's ready for bed. This one tops them all- he's been teething for the past few weeks and we've been trying really hard not to get him Ibuprofen at every intense crying spell, but the other morning he managed to pull the diaper bag apart to find the Ibuprofen and dropper and bring it to Big Joey. He then went over the couch and leaned back with this mouth open (and I want to mention he's not one of those kids that likes the taste- he usually hates it).

I'll have to admit. I pretty much thought my son was an angel. He has never been a problem while I shower and get ready, and he doesn't throw fits when he has to share. He usually just stares and waits patiently. As of Wednesday, this has all changed. While I'm in the shower, he empties out every drawer, hides all of my jewelry in small places a 28 week pregnant girl can't get to (under the bed), and unrolls the toilet paper. You're probably thinking isn't this normal for a little boy at 19 months?? NO, NOT JOEY!!! You see, he has been this little OCD kid (taking after me). He finds crumbs in the couch and throws them in the trash, he throws his own diapers away, he closes doors and cabinets behind me, and he tells me who made the mess. He will find a small, excuse me, TINY pine needle under the rug bring it to me to show me what he found, then walk over to the trash can to throw it away. Where did my little cleaning lady go???? Yesterday I found 3 trucks in the freezer!!!

I do giggle at all of his little ways. I love this age!!! I wish I could have all my babies at this age. I'm not one to sit around and guess what's wrong with a fussy babe. To my next topic, the pregnancy. It seems to be going okay- maybe a little better than last time. I do have good days, which helps. I've gained about 20 lbs so far (but don't let that fool ya- the last 10 weeks of LJ's pregnancy, I gained 40 lbs). Work is still easy and fun. I have a bunch of friends who are pregnant with me, which helps when I need someone to call and complain about my chest touching my stomach and my stomach touching my thighs when I sit down. I'm still exhausted all the time (but then again who isn't?), and it's getting harder and harder to work out. I've been trying to walk at least a mile a day, but doing that on the treadmill versus resting during LJ's naptime is hard to swallow.

Thanks for all who have been thinking about us, and I love love love visitors!! LJ usually naps between 12-2:30, but we're around Mon-Wed so feel free to stop on by. I hope you are about ready for the holidays- I can't believe how quickly the end of the year has come.

Who knew??

...trying to get Christmas pictures with little kiddos would be so entertaining!!
The key: singing. If you sing a song they know, they'll look. Worked like a charm!!!
Can't wait till next year!!! Geesh!

20 lbs, yes twenty.

So I've officially hit the 20 lb benchmark. I was doing great, but all of a sudden the water weight starting packing on quickly. This is what happened last time- the last 10 weeks I gained 40 lbs- yes 40 LBS!!!! So I'm starting to watch my sodium and pray for the best.
All of the Thanksgiving food didn't help, but what a wonderful week. Most of our family (minus Jules) was in town, and LJ got lots of lovin' from extended family. Currently LJ is cutting 6 teeth, has a cold, and I think is experiencing growing pains. We're managing with a bit of Motrin and Dallergy. I'll be a happy Mama when this teeth cutting business is over.
We had his 1 1/2 year appt. last week. We found out we're done with shots till he's 5- awesome!! He weighed in at 30 lbs, 33 1/2 inches tall, and still has a huge head. He seems to be thinning out and catches on to a few new words a day. He's able to understand us quite a bit better, which is making everyday a little more interesting.
About 3 more months left of this pregnancy-- thanks for keeping up in your prayers!!

Our Little Man

LJ is turning into such a little man!! I can honestly say I count him as one of my best friends. It's amazing how I feel I know what he's talking about by his little actions or attempts at words.

He turned 1 1/2 this week- time flies. We attend Waffle House about every Sunday morn, and this morn the girls there couldn't believe how old he looked this morning at breakfast. LJ's been going since he was a baby- the hash browns are a staple for this young lad!

Being in the dental hygiene field, I'm so proud to say he brushes his teeth about 4-5 times a day. He's obsessed- he would do it all day long if he could. He has 6 toothbrushes- two at every sink and if he even comes near a sink, he has to brush them. He's actually getting in 4 to 6 teeth right now. It's been a bit draining.

We started swim lessons last week at the YMCA- they've been a blast! At first he's a little skeptical, but by the end of class he's blowing bubbles and putting his head back in the water. It's wonderful to have this on Wednesday nights, so Big Joey gets to come. It's a great winter getaway. The worst part about it is trying to dress a crazy toddler and myself on wet locker room floors- eek! We're learning so much though- this week we learned how to fall in the water from sitting on the ledge and flip over on his back. Our teacher also got the balls out this week. Once a ball or a basketball goal gets pulled out, we completely lose LJ. For the rest of class, we took shots at the bball goal. That is exactly how he is at Gymboree. We pay all of this money, and once he sees a ball and a goal he's tunnel visioned on basketball drills for the next hour.

He actually won't go anywhere without a ball, and yes, we have full size balls at our house. We're asking Santa for mini balls though. However, I do think using bigger balls will help LJ's athleticism and ball handling skills. We also have a baby medicine ball :) It never hurts to start early!!!

And yes, those are Christmas PJ's. Just getting in the Christmas spirit!!!
If it weren't for my husband, we'd have the lights up, the cookies bakin', and the tree a glowin'. Big Joey thinks there's a rule about celebrating Christmas too early. He always says once we have enough kids, he's going to dress them up at pilgrims and Indians and go to the mall to march around Santa holding signs that say, "What about us?!!" He's crazy- Thanksgiving is so late this year, I feel like we're going to have such a short period to get LJ in the Christmas spirit. We did, however, finish LJ's Christmas shopping this weekend- ahhh, I'm so excited!!!!!!!

OH MAN- I cannot finish this blog without commenting on the fact that everything is all about "Grandpa, Grandpa, Grandpa!!" LJ is obsessed with both of his Grandpas-
O.B.S.E.S.S.E.D.
When he sees a phone, he wants to call Grandpa. He'll only get in the car if we say we're going to Grandpa's. When football or basketball come on the TV, he talks about Grandpa. If we even go by any landmark that resembles anything of either Grandpas' homes, he yells "Grandpa!!"
It's hilarious, and oh sooo cute! I've actually started using this to my advantage though. Grandpa came to swim lessons this week, Grandpa came to our 1 1/2 year pictures this week, and we went over to Grandpa's tonight just to eat a hamburger with him because LJ wasn't interested in eating at home with me.
We're so lucky to have both of LJ's Grandpas. Thanks Dads for all you do!! Love you!!!
I have to apologize for the format of this post. I don't know what happened, but I'm not staying up a minute longer to fix it. Night!

Stats

I have a good friend from high school, Cristin Serio, and I keep a close eye on her blog. She has a great way of posting her prego stats so I thought I'd give it a try!!

This week's Stats:

How far along: 24weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 14 lbs.

Maternity clothes: I love my new Citizens of Humanity Maternity jeans from Nordstrom

Sleep: I can't make it past 9pm, then I get up at 11:30, 2:30, and 5:30 for a bathroom break. Sometimes we get lucky and get to sleep in till 7am! Welcome to parenthood!!

Best moment this week: Little Joey did great at swim lessons and he's starting to really pick up the dance moves. I'm starting to feel a little more energized-- or maybe I'm just learning how to suck it up from being nauseous 24/7.

Movement: Finally!! I felt LJ kick at 18, but I haven't felt Ray until earlier this week. They are very slight, but happy to feel him jiggle around in there. Had a doctor's appt this week- good heartbeat. Next visit we do the diabetes screening, and then we're going to the OB every 2 weeks!! SCARY!

Food cravings: pineapple and berries!! Is it sad that I can't wait to have this baby because the hospital food is AMAZING??!!!

Labor signs: occasional cramping, but just when I don't drink enough water

Wedding rings: I had a hard time getting it on this morning- I think I had too much sodium yesterday.

Do I really need to post pictures of myself?? I did this last time, but this go-round I'm not feeling too stellar.

Investments

No, I'm not talking about the stock market. My husband has a good handle on that category for us. I'm talking about all the money I spent on clothes and toys for Little Joey. I always told my husband it was an investment, and IT WAS!!!
WE'RE HAVING A BOY!!!
We're so thrilled. Sadly, I was praying for a boy. I wanted to have a boys' room, and I honestly didn't know what we were going to do with all of these tupperware bins of clothes and toys. Our house is lovely, but I'm not a big fan of having to put everything up in our attic when I don't know for sure what exactly is lurking up there.
I wanted to post pictures of the ultrasound, but I haven't made it over to Sam's Club to do some scanning. We're almost 23 weeks along- still due March 12, which I might add is PERFECT TIMING for March Madness!!!!!!!! We're thinking this weekend is going to fall nicely on the Big Ten Tournament weekend and I'll be on my maternity leave during all of the day games throughout March. I know, I know... I'm not going to have any time to watch games, but I'll settle for NCAA basketball tournament games as background noise.
As for names... we've decided on Raymond after my dad's dad. We'll call him Ray. We have about 4 months left. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. I've still been pretty sick, but hanging in there.
Now, I'm off to buy some more Pee Pee TeePees.

Hhahhahahahaha

First off, I'm so embarrassed I talked like this. I had no idea I had this "mommy voice," and I always make fun of my mom for doing that. I just can't believe how much LJ has changed, but that lip still puckers when he's sad. This is hilarious!!!!!

Hanging with some of my faves!!

Today turned out to be EXCELLENT!!!!! I woke up not so great. Around this time in my last pregnancy, I wasn't doing so hot at all. I've been sick now since the beginning of July and I have a hard time understanding why I have to feel this bad all the time. Last time I was pregnant with LJ, I was working for a dentist with 2 other amazing hygienists, Emmie and Sadie. They were my rocks. Every day when I showed up to work with red, swollen eyes, they would help me tough it out, or give me ideas on what will help, or even find me passed out in the bathroom feeding me cottage cheese. Well, this time I don't have them. I don't work there anymore and so things have been a bit rougher. When I'm home with LJ, I just have him to talk to and since his vocabularly is limited to "cheese," "ball," "pig," "cow," and "up," I've had a tough time getting through some of these rougher days.

I woke up this morning to an amazing phone call- Emmie and Sadie's boss called the day off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A full morning with them and the kids- it was God looking after me for sure!!! Emmie had a boy, Tye, Jan. 6, 2008 and Sadie had Audrey Jan. 18, 2008. We were all pregnant working together and it was something I'll never forget!!! We went to Old Park in Greenwood today from 10-12:30. It was perfect. LJ has a hard time playing with other kids because he's so used to playing by himself, but Tye and Audrey were so sweet with him and it turned out wonderful. We finished up our playdate with Mrs. Curl!!!!!!!! It was extremely good timing because it closes for the season next week.

Oh how I miss these girls. God put them in my life at the most perfect time and for some reason, he has kept them in my life through our busy, hectic lives.
Emmie, Sadie: I'm forever grateful for what you both have done for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have been my angels. Love you both!!!!

Happy Halloween!

Next week LJ will be a UPS man for Halloween. It'll be a bit different this year. I'll be taking my little one house to house versus dressing up, bar hopping, and attempting to win costume contest after costume contest, which I did at Howl at the Moon when Joey and I were first dating ($100 baby!). All of my girlfriends will be at their annual Halloween Bash in Broad Ripple, and we'll probably be asleep by 9pm. It's funny how things change. I'm pumped to walk around with LJ, but I will miss the cleverness of my friends' costumes. My brother always has a knack for a creative costumes too- ex. Jonny from the Karate Kid. I wanted to dress up so bad this year, but I didn't think my bikini lady t-shirt or my Jon and Kate +8 outfits would be appropriate for our family festivities. Oh, another good outfit I usually do is an FFA member. This weekend is the big Future Farmers of America weekend in Indy- now that outfit was always a hit!!! Speaking of FFA, did you know they bring in 25 million to our city in one weekend? That's amazing. They did have a pretty horrible event happen this year- a member fell 3 stories off of an escalator in our downtown mall. He'll definitely be in our thoughts and prayers this week, along with all of those bar hoppin', costume sportin', drinky drinkin' people out there.

Don't you love that hand diggin' in the Goldfish bag?? Such a man!
We haven't quite finished our pumpkin.... hopefully more pics to come!

Oops these pics got reversed. Sorry.

Funny pics I stumbled across.

It's weird how much I have already forgot about LJ's first 17 months of life. There are so many changes and hurdles, yet so much laughing and exploring. I'm at my mom's house. She watched LJ for a few so I could go pick up a few things that are impossible to do with a newly walking toddler. I stumbled across these pics on her desktop. Just check out this pics from last year. I'm so happy LJ has cousins to grow up with.

Not much as changed with the Sloanster. When her and LJ are together she likes to follow him and say "Joey, Joey, Joey, Joey." It's sooooo cute, and they are actually really really good together. Although Slaonie did teach LJ how to jump on the couch this week.
These are from Spring Break last March. This March we will be
having another baby- man, how things change so quickly around here.

This could be you or your child.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33243690/ns/health-swine_flu?GT1=43001

We were there in June. H1N1 is real, and it's everywhere right now. Please consider getting the vaccine, especially for your children. I truly feel we almost lost Little Joey. Do whatever you have to do to help prevent this. Get vaccinated. Stay home. Wash your hands, especially before and after meals. Don't put your hands in your mouth. Change clothes when you get home. Wash your ties and suits that rarely get washed. Do whatever you have to do. This virus is very scary, and many have already died.

Discovering the camera

LJ loooooves the camera!!! When we pull it out, all we hear is "cheese!!" These are his first practice shots of himself and discovering he can see him on the camera when it's done. Isn't it sad he won't know what it's like to wait to see his pics and actually have to go to the store to get his pictures developed???

The "W" word

WINTER!!!

OK, so I was thrilled that fall came, however, where is it going?!!!!! It's in the mid-40's when we wake up at 7:15AM IN THE PITCH DARK!!!!!!!! GEEEZE LOUISE!!! LJ is getting extremely interactive, and it makes me laugh several times a day. He's such a little smarty pants! In the morning we have a routine where he drinks his Soy milk and we play around the kitchen/living room till 8am while switching back from The Today Show to Blue's Clues. At about 8:30, we have been typically going on our 2 mile walk around the neighborhood where we spot dogs, planes, trees, eat our strawberrries, blueberries and cheerios, and see our same 5 neighbors that take a morning walk too. Well, this walk is getting earlier and earlier because LJ brings me my shoes, then brings me his, and then brings me his hat as he's saying over and over again, "Shoes, shoes, hat, hat!" Then I quickly get my peanut butter bagel down (before I throw up from nauseau) and repeatedly tell LJ "Mommy has to drink her coffee before we go on a walk." Well all he gets from that sentence is "walk," and runs to the door trying to open it. When he can't and I don't come over there, he throws himself down on the ground heartbroken. So I cave and we go on a walk. Well today we went at 7:45am and I froooooozzzzzzzzzzzzeeee my patooty off!! What am I going to do this winter??? Mall walk?? REALLLY!!!!!! I thought this picture was adorable. LJ is looking more and more like a Matis, and it's soooo cute!

Here is a few of my pics from Apple Works. I think we're going to head to Kelsay Farms this week or next. We have to see the COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWSSSS!
Oh fall, please don't leave me!

Apple Works it is!

Last week, my pledge sister, Carrie, and I took LJ to Apple Works in Trafalgar, IN. It was a great time!!! They had farm animals, hay stacks, train rides, huge slides, pony rides, cider slushies, rocks to throw, bridges to walk on, and people to see!!

LJ is becoming more and more like a little boy every day. I feel like we're getting closer to incorporating him into our schedule versus always doing what's best for his schedule. For example, we wanted to go tailgating at IU yesterday, so we did. I didn't hold back because it was in the mid 50's, I didn't hold back because of the 90 minute drive, and I didn't hold back because I was worried about him being intimidated by all the people or run off into huge crowds while I'm trying to talk to some friends. LJ did great and he's becoming more and more adaptable.
We'll be going to the pumpkin patch for the first time this week!! We have a big pumpkin carving party at Tracy and Jeff Jourdan's this weekened-- the greatest part about the party is it starts at 4:30 and is kid friendly!!!!!! YAY for not having to find a baby sitter!!!

Sunday, September 27, 2009

Finally...

the cool breeze is here!!! My nauseau has been so bad because of this stinkin' heat!!! But hopefully not anymore- fall is here!!!! Now we need to get in as much work as possible before winter hits and a baby is here! However, before work, LJ and I need to experience these much talked about apple orchards around town. Have you been to any good ones??

And yes, I'm 17 weeks along and still very very sick. AWESOME!!! We do find out the sex of the baby October 14- only 17 days away. Then we'll be able to decide what we are going to do with these kids' rooms. Oh man, I just said kidS! WEIRD!

LJ has been doing pretty well- walking EVERYWHERE!! He does this right arm swing like my brother did growing up, which is pretty hilarious. He's able to do a couple of signs and says quite a few words like "plane, bird, tree, car, coooooooooooow, cheese, bark, dog, coooooooow, blue, green, eye, coooooooooooow, and up." I'm so glad he's finally walking- he weighs about 31 lbs and it's killin' me. He's still getting sick about once a month, where he needs to be put on an antibiotic, but luckily this last one wasn't as bad and we didn't even have to use the nebulizer. LJ has 10 teeth and working on 2 more (not fun). We finally (with much persistance) have been able to incorporate lots and lots of fruits and veggies into his diet and he's taking a multi-vitamin. Hopefully this is a great boost for the ol' immune system.

I've officially gained my first 5-6 lbs and I'm getting fatter by the day. I, on the other hand, need to work on my diet. Nothing at home has been sounding good and eating out isn't that good for me. I've been craving fresh strawberry lemonades but have yet to find one.

Many thanks to Big Joey for dealing with me being so sick, especially at night. He does so much- probably too much. I feel lucky, very lucky.

Welp, it's almost October- yippeeee!

Spanx

You're kidding right?? There is no way in hell I would ever wear these while being pregnant. First off, I didn't know people actually wore them at all until my pledge sisters recently informed me at a wedding that "everybody is doing it." Then I was browsing on the Nordstrom website looking for something descent for when I start looking LARGE, and I actually came across these. How freaking uncomfortable?? Maybe it's my claustrophobia setting in, but being pregnant is bad enough when your skin is pulling and there are places on my body bulging I never knew could bulge! Then to top things off she's wearing stilettos. I have a little less than 6 months left. How am I ever going to do this??!!!!!!

Busy weekend

We're leaving the hosptial in this pic. Little Joey loovvved loved loved meeting Sydney. I hope he's that excited when our new baby comes along. Have I mentioned how much LJ loves Uncle Mikey??? It's hilarious how much he tries to show off when Mikey's around. I can already tell LJ loves being around the boys. One of my really great friends, Lauren Howard, got married this weekend to her long time boyfriend, Todd. The wedding was nice- it was great seeing high school friends. It's too bad we don't see each other more. Everyone has been going through so many changes- new jobs, new babies, new boyfriends. It was great catching up!!

Below is myself, Leslie, Jessica and Annette. Love you girls!!

Not only was Sydney born this weekend and Lauren was married, but my it was my brother's 29 birthday, Julia's 30th birthday and my mother-in-law's birthday. September has felt busy, but October is much much crazier! I'm just hoping to get to Halloween without too much sickness. Then I'll only have 4 months left! I have felt awful this week. I finally have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and I'm excited to make sure all is well.

Oh- LJ's Halloween costume- I tend to go for comfort- a UPS man.

She's here!!!

Introducing to you Sydney Marol May
and family!!
She arrived early this morning around 1:30 am. Everyone is happy and healthy.
She weighed in at 7 lbs even- a little bigger than when Sloanie was born.

Sloanie and LJ are both so excited. They were jumping around the hospital room yelling out "BABAH!!!" (Nice belly shot LJ!!)

15 weeks along

Today I'm into my 15th week. I'm starting to hit that awkard, chubby stage, where things are getting really tight and there are still many weeks to go before I start to really "show". I'm really nauseaus all day long and I'm planning on being that way the entire pregnancy- awesome!! I have to get about 11 hours of sleep a night or I feel really really sick the next day. I finally get to see the doctor next week. They have been "so booked" I haven't been able to get an appointment, however, my sister manages to see him every week right now (well she's due any day), but still!!! I'm planning on having a boy. We'll find out mid-October. Obviously, either way we're pumped, but something makes me think we'll have several boys- ha!! It's all good here! I'll just have to trade off with my sister's kids when I'm ready for some girl time! She'll be having a girl any day- she's 38 weeks. Welp, thanks for keeping us in your thoughts!
On a different note, LJ will be 16 months next week and he's officially walking by himself room to room. If he falls down, he doesn't get back up, but if he starts standing up he'll take off!!! We're thrilled!!! I know all of you mothers out there are saying, "Be careful what you wish for!!" He's 16 MONTHS PEOPLE!!!!!!! He's ready!!!!
